9″ wall sconce, half round open top, with the Compass Star center cut design and finished in Parchment color, which is an antiqued tan color. Our Compass Star is a magnificent design for any home near the water, but can also add a compliment to homes that have triangular shapes or straight lines. The magnetic compass was not, at first, used for navigation, but for geomancy and fortune-telling by the Chin. The earliest Chinese magnetic compasses were possibly used to order and harmonize buildings in accordance with the geomantic principles of feng shui. Each of our wall sconces are made in the U.S.A. and are UL listed in the U.S.A. and Canada. Our lights are finished with a high quality, exterior, low VOC waterbase paint.
The 9″ 1/2 round is UL listed for a wet location, so it can be used outside. Side wall wash holes give a beautiful fan of light on each side and an hour glass of light shines from the top and bottom. Easy to install and all lights come with an installation kit and instructions.
Due to the handcrafted nature of our lights, each sconce is truly unique and multi-color finishes may vary.
DIMENSIONS:H-9 1/4 inch x W-7 1/2 inch x D-5 1/4 inch Recommended 75 watts maximum. Compatible with standard A-19 bulbs. Use an outdoor rated LED when mounting outside for energy efficiency. LED bulbs are now available up to 100 watt equivalency. 2700-3000K bulb will give you a warm light, which softens the illuminated area.
